The Kroc Center offers a wide variety of both free and paid drop-in fitness classes to meet the needs and fitness levels of our members.

All fitness classes excluding TRX are drop-in classes and a free benefit of Gold Memberships. Drop-In classes are first come, first served. Registration is available 1 hour prior to the start of a class.

Class Descriptions

ACTIVE ADULTS

A class designed for older active adults who want a class in addition to SilverSneakers Classic. This class will give you a full body workout and features low-impact choreography alternated with upper-body strength work using weights, resistance bands and other equipment. This class is suitable for nearly every fitness level and can be adapted depending on the skill of individual participants.

Ages: 30+

KROC Cycle

Enhance your cardio with this group exercise session geared towards helping you get lean and relieve stress. This class utilizes stationary bicycles and focuses on strength, endurance, intervals, high intensity and recovery. Suitable for all fitness levels.

SILVERSNEAKERS CLASSIC

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscle strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, resistance bands and a SilverSneakers ball are provided for resistance. A chair is used for seated exercises and standing support. This class can be adapted by the student depending on their fitness level and abilities. It is suitable for beginning to intermediate skill levels.

TRX

Suspension Training bodyweight exercise develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously using a tool that leverages gravity and the user’s body weight to complete fun but challenging exercises.

ZUMBA

ZUMBA® is a fusion of Latin and International music creating a dynamic and hypnotic rhythm with easy to follow moves. The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.

Zumba Toning

Those who want to party, but put extra emphasis on toning and sculpting to define those muscles! The challenge of adding resistance by using light weights, helps you focus on specific muscle groups, so you (and your muscles) stay engaged! Lightweights enhances sense of rhythm and coordination, while toning target zones, including arms, core and lower body.

P90X LIVE

P90X LIVE is a total-body workout with a variety of strength-training moves, cardio conditioning and core work. In every class you’ll tone strong, lean muscle, and together, you’ll bust through any plateau that stands in your way.

Line Dancing

Join us for Line Dancing to popular music a unique and fun activity with a repeated sequence of steps.  Line dancing is a great way to get moving for all levels of fitness that will have you laughing and smiling through-out the class.

Commit Dance Fitness

A dynamic, fun-filled HIIT(High Intensity Interval Training)-style dance workout. Each routine focuses on essential fitness elements performed to a variety of popular music, from all over the world, that will inspire everyone to get moving.  COMMIT Dance introduces a variety of dance styles from the latest trends to oldies and international music.

KROC-BATA

Blast away the calories and achieve noticeable results with the KROC’s very own version of Tabata interval training! Whether your goal is toning, weight loss, or both, this 30 minute class will burn more calories both during and after your workout. With 10 seconds of rest between each 20 second bout of exercise, you will train all of your energy systems, something that regular cardio workouts usually don’t do.

STRENGTH TRAINING

Come join us for a full body resistance class designed to increase lean muscle, improve structural strength, decrease body fat and increase endurance.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a meditation practice that focuses on cultivating multiple levels of well-being. Practiced with consistency and awareness while resting comfortably in savasana, this systematic meditation takes you through the five layers of self, leaving you with a sense of wholeness. Yoga nidra, or yogic sleep, is an immensely powerful meditation technique, and one of the easiest yoga practices to develop and maintain. Suitable for all fitness levels.

Pound

Designed for all fitness levels, POUND® provides the perfect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energized, toning up and rockin’ out! The workout is easily modifiable and the alternative vibe and welcoming philosophy appeals to men and women of all ages and abilities. You become the music in this exhilarating full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements. Using Ripstix®, lightly weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercising.

YOGA FLOW

One of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga, Yoga Flow focuses on stringing poses together, with each movement focused on synchronizing with your breathing. Move past daily distractions, gain greater mental focus, and recharge in this class designed to bring heightened awareness through flowing sequences and poses. Suitable for all fitness levels.

Core De Force

If you want knockout results without lifting a single weight, this is the workout for you. A combination of Boxing, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai helps you zero in on stubborn belly fat and carve all-over definition. You’ll move through 3-minute “rounds” in which you’ll alternate between various fighting combinations with bodyweight moves and cardio spikes to kick your calorie burn into overdrive. No matter what your fitness level, you can punch, kick, and sweat at your own pace.

WALKING WITH A PURPOSE

Join us as we walk around the track lead by one of our ministry team members, stopping each lap at one of our eight prayer stations. There we will pray as a group, lifting up ourselves and our community to the Lord. A total of eight laps and eight prayer stations – a mile to exercise your body and spirit!
