STARGUARD LIFEGUARD

CERTIFICATION

StarGuard Lifeguard Certifications are nationally recognized and give students the opportunity to know everything about becoming a lifeguard. The StarGuard certification focuses on patron rescue, surveillance skills, first aid and CPR/AED training. Using a hands-on approach, this class prepares students to be successful lifeguards for years to come. A StarGuard certification is effective for one year. All students must pass the written and swimming tests to complete the class. Swimming requirement includes: Swim 300 meters continuously, retrieve and swim 25 meters with a 10 pound weight, and tread water for 3 minutes. No refund for not completing the class. Successful participants eligible for employment and potential reimbursement.
