Splashing is encouraged at the Kroc Aquatic Center. Our exciting indoor water park includes a 170 foot long twisting and turning water slide, a current channel to propel you and a vortex that will spin you around! There are water cannons, water dump buckets, sprays, and for the little ones, a beach entry and shallow water. For water sport enthusiasts there are lap lanes, water volleyball and water basketball. To relax, those 12 years and older enjoy the large hot tub. Outdoors, you can relax on our shaded patio or play on our water Splash Pad. We offer a wide range of activities and classes including parent-tot water play, learn-to-swim, water fitness classes, lifeguard training, and more. The KROC Learn to Swim Program follows a progressive curriculum in all
of our instructional swimming classes. Each level has three basic components: personal water safety, water comfort and stroke development. We expect each student to learn and progress at his or her own rate. Our hope is that more people will take advantage of the KROC Center’s Learn to Swim program to develop competency in swimming
along with confidence and endurance. All swim lessons are 35 minutes long, meeting twice a week over a three week period.
Interested in working in aquatics? The Kroc center offers lifeguard certification courses through the nationally recognized StarGuard-Starfish Aquatics Institute. The lifeguard certification courses focus on patron rescue, surveillance skills, first aid and CPR/AED training. Using a hands on approach, these classes will provide students with the necessary tools to be successful lifeguards. Take your aquatics knowledge even further and become a swim instructor with us. The Kroc offers Starfish Swim Instructor courses which allow you to earn your certification to teach swim lessons and water safety. In addition to these lifeguard-specific certifications, the Kroc offers basic CPR and First Aid, as well as Child and Babysitting safety certifications through the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI). All students must pass written and swimming (if applies) tests in order to complete the class and receive certification.
The Program Guide is the place to look for a variety of one-day and weekly classes. All classes are open to the public.
